No, rice husk doesnt have this issue... but it decomposes relatively quickly... nonetheless it is nice medium for soil-less growing

I would suggest to soak rice husk overnight in water to completely absorb water... use Mono Ammonium Phosphate 1 gm in 2 liter twice weekly for one month... this will boost the root growth and after one month you can start 20:20:20...

you can give MAP up to 1.5 gm per liter after one pair of true leaves are developed after germination... 20:20:20 is not suitable for Kratky method... results are not good...
