Best to buy 1 foot saplings.. this is the ideal size for transplant.. dig 2 feet deep.. plant and fill only one foot, leaving space deep enough to keep the water near roots.. No fertilzer should be used.. alternate days for 15 days, then twice weekly for six months, then weekly until it becomes 10 feet.. each and every sapling must be supported by long bamboo sticks otherwise wind will destroy them...
