Can kinno/malta/chakotara(Citrus family) be grown in Karachi. I just bought some palms from nursery and saw kinno/malta/chakotara etc plants in pots . Would these survive here and easily fruit like lemons?

Yet to see Kinno here in fruiting... i have seen Chakotra, Grape fruit, Mittha, Mausambi, Frooter..

Kinno is unlikely. The little kingri malta fruits well (I have one in a container and it set three fruits this year).

And grapefruit does really well- this is the season when new plants come from Punjab. Plant now.
Grapefruits grow and fruit well in containers (I have proof if you want)

And lemons do very well- and now there are so many varieties available. Not to forget kumquats and 'china orange' which makes great orange juice!

I went to nursery and bought few plants including Pomelo(Chakotra),Grapefruit, Kinno,Malta and Kaghzi lemon.All of these are almost 5 feet + and are grafted plants. I already have grown up Grapefruit tree growing in ground at my other place and it fruits too each year.

Will post Pomelo(Chakotra) pic later as I can't seem to find it on disk.I honestly forgot which one is what so have labeled them with numbers instead.

1st is Kinno
2nd is Lemon
3rd is Grapefruit
4th is Malta
