Where to find lotus (nelumbo) plants or seeds in Karachi?

I found most nurseries carry waterlilies, not lotus. Are you sure they carry lotus?

You may try making a trip to Sunday bazar where you might find lotus root being sold under the name "bhee" (I guess in Sindhi). It is an edible crunchy root. By luck one may find rhizomes associated with some of them. It is a popular dish in interior parts of Sindh.

yes lotus... water lillies are very different plants
